It's not a weird question at all! Yeah, Digimon Frontier is the one Digimon canon where the kids turn into Digimon rather than having a Digimon partner. And it's not actually a power I anticipate needing very often, to answer that third question while I'm here. I mainly just want the ability available because it's fun.

And re: good at following and not getting caught, it's not a super power or anything like that. It's more a note that I made because he manages to follow his brother around for a period of time and somehow be completely unnoticed. (Basically, while he can do it, I marked it down as a personal joke for my own amusement.)
