Re. "Astral plane agreements": Most of Elric's sorcery is based around 'pacts' with various types of spirit-beings. In this own world, he has pacts with elemental-type beings, 'Beast Lords', and the Lords of Chaos. Most of these pacts are based on his heritage- as the Emperor of Melniboné they are a hereditary right. His Actorios ring is, in part, proof of his identity. But other pacts, like his pact with Lord Arioch of Chaos, involve a specific, agreed-upon exchange. (Which is why Elric's most frequent warcry is "Blood and souls for my Lord Arioch!") When he performs sorcery, he typically puts himself in a meditative state which allows astral projection. In this state, he can seek out whatever being he wants to contact and can attempt to arrange a favor. Perhaps in Arda he could arrange his initial 'pact' with the music? Which in turn could make use of him, when it wants to. Favors go both ways.
Re. Stormbringer: I'm honestly not sure if he should count as an animal companion- this would seem to imply that the sword is under Elric's control. But Stormbringer is a very active and assertive personality- in D&D terms, it would be a chaotic evil sentient weapon with an ego well above 20 (considers itself superior to its owner, often exerts its own choices). I can make this edit if the mods still agree it would count as a companion, but I am fine with it counting against my character total given the strength of its personality. If you do still agree that the sword is a companion, do I just tack on the companion co-claim or should I restructure the info post entirely?
